To send a qualified technician to your home or place of business is expensive.
Most shops have a minimum charge of $100 and can be as high as $200. When you call to talk to some one, all they can due is schedule an appointment. Unless you have an established account, you may have to pre authorize your credit card for the minimum charge before you even see a technician. The person on the phone cannot even give you basic advise over the phone, because the technician is not available on the phone.
